Too many threads lately about people ripping in HC. And then quite a few of them blaming everything from pauls servers to their hampsters not knowing how to click the "run away" button. So i figured i'd give 5 HC Rules to Rule Them All (and in the darkness bind them)
HOW TO SURVIVE HARDCORE:
RULE #1 - Never shall i ever slash a character on Hardcore without first dumping my heart, soul, trust-fund, and enough stat points into Vitality. (this means at least 50, 45 if you have amazing gear and you live life on the edge).
RULE #2 - Never shall i ever let my life drop below 75% of its max - For any reason.
RULE #3 - Never shall i ever let my character not be prepared to survive for 10 hits and forced log-out.
RULE #4 - Never shall i stop thanking God, praising Allah, rubbing Buddha's belly, and getting drunk with Odin in Valhalla for the wonderful heal charm hes has provided me.
"This is my heal charm. There are many like it, but this one is mine until i gain 5-10 levels. My heal charm is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I gain my proficiencies. My heal charm, unequipped from acc, is useless. Without my heal charm, I am useless. I must cast my heals true. I must heal better than any enemy who is trying to kill me. I must heal myself before he takes too much of my life. I will..."
RULE #5 - Never shall i ever stay in a fight where monsters are doing insane critial hit damage becuase it is too fast and easy to simply start another fight than to regen/heal that much life back.
Honestly - if i can slash HC on a connection at work where i drop out from LS several times a day and not rip, you can too. The idea is that if you stay safe and can survive 10 hits from "pauls laggy shitty servers" *cough* its your connection, or anywhere on one of the hops it can easily choke on its back and forth between pauls server *cough* you can pretty much never RIP.
Thus, Pump Vita from the start and there is never a reason you SHOULDNT be above 75% health. Chains Mean Nothing In HC - GO Heal/regen/shrine
And with that - i leave you this inspirational video:
