Yes from me. Staffs are my favourite weapons, it's a shame that they are very limited to their use.
I'm struggling to make it to Monk to use them

I think the weapon restrictions on samuria force people to get weapons that will help them later in the game

sword for pally + ninja
dagger for monk + ninja

Obviously that leaves a 1 char space, but assuming that most people are club fighters/barbs that would mean they alreay have pally covered
or were a staff rouge, alreay have monk covered

Staves are bad at stabbing.
Samurais are supposed to be stealthy and kapow and all, you know what I mean?

I understand the logic of the statement......my only comment is, did this sammy u speak of wear heavy armors?

It would not.

Melee staves are cheap because they can only be used on monk + feeder if you would be able to use them on Sammy as well they would be more expensive so new players would still be screwed.

New players have a choice to either go with bad swords / daggers / axes or get descent clubs / staves it works fine why add another weapon into the expensive catagory?

You got Samurais confused with ninjas.


Samurais are warriors, they fight for honor and glory and proudly show it. Not hide in the bushes like ninjas.
