Should count imo, since Maining an int charm and going EE charm in acc slot while relying on Melee chars to heal has become pretty standard.

In my point of view, a hybrid is a caster + melee.

Caster/healer is something everybody should do, regardless of the situation.
Melee/healer is something everybody should do, regardless of the situation.

And as a healer, you should melee while you are at it.

Thus coming to a point where two situations are left undiscribed.

Caster/Melee
Healer/Caster, which is a bad choice.

So that only leaves Caster/Melee undiscribed. Which I believe, is a hybrid.

it's most simple description would be an item that makes a character able to play effectively offensive (casting/melee) and defensively (tank/healer)

you guys make this game way more complicated than it needs to be
"hybrid" is really just an over used word in the subject line of trade threads to make items sound more appealing

On topic.

This was my old "Heavy Hybrid" set-up before the update killed it
I used it on fighter/sammy and pally.


statted mostly pure Int depending on class i would stat a few dex to meet the 100 dex mark.

i used several different swords like:

A lvl 55 123 ee, 5xx max mana, LS , ML and other mods.

and this one.

Rare ultimanium sword
Level Req: 55
Damage: 29 to 296

+123% Enhanced Effect
+27% Heal Mastery


And this one

Mythical tintitanium sword
Level Req: 50
Damage: 47 to 478

+133% Enhanced Effect
+215 Max Mana
+1 to 1 Life per Attack
+7% Life Steal
+43% Heal Mastery


and i would use this gear till mq.


Mythical sapphire plate mail
Level Req: 30
Physical Defense: 27 to 83
Magical Defense: 0 to 9

+18 Dexterity
+22 Intelligence
+3 Mana Regen
+1 to 6 Mana per Attack
+35% Heal Mastery



Angelic wild heal XIII
Level Req: 50
Heals: 15 to 156
Mana Cost: 101

+33 Dexterity
+5 Vitality
+4% Damage Return
+41% Heal Mastery


Rare heal XIV
Level Req: 55
Heals: 128 to 342
Mana Cost: 109

+155% Enhanced Effect
+12 Intelligence





As you can see i focused on heals mainly and still had good dmg too when i wasn't healing.
I see in this thread people saying i have no idea how to build a character but funny thing is if i ever slashed with you I would keep your sorry ass alive with just a FIGHTER going hybrid being main healer and i would have near the best dmg in the group while doing so.. and that is without having mass fg to spend.
Doing 1k heals as a fighter and over 1k dmg with limited fg to me doesn't say i can't build a character.
But then again who am i too say that I'll let you guys get back to bashing me and my gear since you guys know everything.

When he started LS, he built an effective character that yeilded more Heal capacity than alot of newcomers
to Ladder Slasher, not only that, he ensured to make his build more beneficial by introducing more Damage BUT

When I Solo:
My damage and heal is not poor or great, it is more than substantial

In a Group
As a MONK Healer in a Group (55+)... I average 700 Heal (making my melee damage minimal)
As a MONK Melee in a Group (55+)... I average 550 damage (making my heal average 280)
As for casting... I hardly ever do, that is because 90% of the rest of the players prefer Casting or Melee'ing (including tank characters)





You should learn to read before making a judgement and letting your brain takeover your fingers.
Note that I bolded the words in the quote... he was referring to being more Heal than melee...

As for his stating Hybrid, it is possibly based on Level 40 to Level 50 because of two (2) things:
1. EE on the dagger
2. Dex on the main charm



I would think (optimum wording) that he uses his stats to improve two areas:
1. Intelligence to ensure a substantial Mana Pool
2. Dexterity (using Dagger) to ensure more damage
... Since the update, that is all he needs to invest in to helpful in a group.



This is true, but then he does not own such an item.

Another option...
Use the Robe for HM gear and replace the Main Charm with Dual Stats... Dexterity / Intelligence... or More Dexterity / Heal Mastery (which HM is better than Int for healing)
