I share this view, although I don't really care much about it.

There is no reason why items in the vault should stay hidden (since everything else is visible).

Not too keen on this idea myself -- even if the option of being hidden were introduced.
As you are aware -- you may hide your LS link but it can still be accessed by a minimum of manipulation.
I think it would be just as easy for a hidden vault link to be manipulated, and the method promulgated so that everyone can snoop in your vault.

It could always be handled the way the Guild Options are in the guild page. Have a check around the entire page that checks if the user accessing the page is the admin of the guild or not.

I see where your concern is, but there are fairly simple ways to protect it.

vaults are personal, should be if the person accessing the page is owner of the page ( same ID ) or not ...

I always pictured vaults like PM boxes, they are for the Owner themselves. People can send stuff if they want, but cannot see what is in there.

edit: I guess that didn't really say how I feel about the suggestion. It is a good suggestion, but can it be protected from outside viewers is the big question.
