I have been thinking about this for a while now and thought I'd ask others what they think. I started to post this in the Mute Thread I have going, but decided to make this so it is easier to see and discuss in.

Simple idea, a new thread just like the HC/SC Best thread (I think adding a spot for high level rare fishing poles would be nice too), but we make one for mutes under the new system and let the other list already in place be for found items and old mutes ofc. Have one for SC and HC skillers. I would think there would be someone willing to host it and edit it ? If we could steal the structure from the already in place one I think adding stuff would be easy. Once setup several of us could even take turns adding items and sending it to Mork or who ever to update it. Just thinking out loud on it ..... Please post you thoughts on it .....

I was thinking it would be nice to have one for skillers to be able to kind of match themselves against each other and to be able to compare Skiller made items to Monster Spawned items. We spend so so much time in skilling it would be nice to be able to match ourselves against the natural spawns. We would not need any thing for heavies because all we can do is pull Ess out of them. Also I thought it would be neat to some Randoms added for the Suff, Fishers and maybe a few Glyphs that are just cute to look at. Those skills are just as time involved as muting but with much less public recognition for it. I wouldnt want people to get petty about it though, so I wouldnt think a true best of best on these items would be fair either on these items. Just add things to a list that are hot little numbers with like 95% perfect modes and such. Could also make a pic of like 6 wide and 4 deep instead of a long list of 24 items. Then you have 1 screen of 24 items to look at.

Examples on this stuff: (pardon the roughness of this below, I dont do these so am trying to describe it the best I can)

t1 Comfrey Life 490 base, 150% ee on them with stack size of 80
t2 Comfrey 998 mana base and 180% ee suff onto it (finding this item and getting that ess and then it being at high % is very rare)

Sardine 100 mana 100% cooked stack of 2,234 fish with 78 ee added
Cod fish mana stack and such

A few huge ess stacks would be cute to tack on for the heck of it

I think a few cute glyphs would be nice too, like say a lvl 3 with 15 str 13 dex 12 vita 5 MS 13 HM and then has like 120 ee added to it from suff

or like a lvl 20 one from Storm with crazy stats from like a fail weapon spawn. One of those 30 vita 20 dex 13 str.


The normal casual player I am sure wouldnt care about this. Even alot of the devoted Cata killers probably wouldnt care either, but I think anyone engaged in the skilling and making of things would like to have their own little spot for their accomplishments.

Thats not really a fair comment. Skiller made items and Monster drop items are different things. Besides, your examples are usually posted up when people make their posts in the 'Best Item Threads'. With skillers that is never an issue, unless they posted if they were using ML items.



yes....Thats kind of why I was thinking skillers to manage it amoung themselves. I highlighted the part saying non-skillers wouldnt really agree with this, and so far that is proving true. Not like having 2 threads (HC/SC) are going to hurt everyone else some how. It will also cut down on posts in other threads about it because those people would have their own spot. If a person doesnt want to read it, then just dont click it. Thats simple enough imo.

Thinking about who all is in the skilling stuff off the top of my head here....most of them are good laid back people that dont get involved in any of the petty t3 t4 junk like they do in the HC Best Drop Thread many times. I was thinking like 80% to 90% ball park number was a good guideline for min requirements. I see no reason to flood a thread with those "it fills a spot" items.

example lvl 20 is t7 so like 30+ stats and like 110+ ee mins ..... logic also plays a big roll in that kind thing and typically skillers are very math inclinded people that understand things like this better than the common joe whos just trying to see his name on a list so he can feel special (not saying its wrong for them too, but usually it ends up being drama over 20 to 50 fg items that are only used for 4 minutes in a climb anyways.)



To a point it does Kenny. It takes for ever to scroll through it and really knowing whats what is impossible. If we made a Best Mute thread, then that one would be able to be shut down.



Thats not true at all really....skillers as a whole arent upity ego driven people. We try to help each other when possible and we all want the best for each other. Like Gun's 190 ee lvl 35 light, hes not being an ass about having the best mute to date, and everyone else whos struggling getting up there is glad to see it as inspiration to the skill.
