People are supposed to have been paying capital gains taxes on cryptocurrencies his whole time anyway.

Its a form of income/'investing', its weird that it would be taxed as such.

if you invested and made a high enough income (USD) from trading game gold, you are required to submit that for taxes as well.

I’m holding long term and plan to pay the 15% capital gains tax when I cash out anyways, doesn’t bother me.
