I was in a semi similar situation. Our director of sales got promoted and they wanted to promote me internally, but not give me a significant pay raise and they limited my autonomy of the division.
I told her that I would be happy to run the division, but not if it was going to be halfway. She agreed and it's been great ever since.
If you think you deserve more pay, more responsibility, more autonomy, etc., ask for it. If they decline, don't be afraid to call their bluff.

And yes thats why I dont wanna be supervisor, because if I am at least 1 in every 4 people will be fired, and then I feel bad for being destructive, but at the same time I cant supervise someone I dont like.
But I get the idea.
