When former Croatian commando, five-time world champion kickboxer, and stuntman Ivan Jurcevic, 44, saw Muslims about to rape two women, he knew he couldn’t stand by and let it happen.When he’s not acting in the latest movie or winning his 5th world kickboxing championship, Ivan Jurcevic works at a hotel overlooking Cologne square. The 7-foot-tall, 285-lb hunk of herculean muscle saw a gang of Muslim asylum seekers about to rape two young women — and he gave them something they’d never forget.
The former Croatian Army commando was working as a doorman the night that over 1,000 migrants ran amok on the streets of Cologne, raping and assaulting unsuspecting Germans. As he kept watch at the entrance of the hotel, two terrified young women ran up to him and begged him to protect them from a group of Muslim men “who were harassing them.”
“There were four of them, young men in their 20s, speaking Arabic. They told me not to interfere, that the girls were ‘theirs,'” Jurcevic told MailOnline.
“The girls looked like they worked in a bank, they were wearing jeans and coats, nothing provocative, they were really frightened. I told them to stand behind me.”
When he’s not defending the honor of innocent civilians, Jurcevic makes appearances in films as a part-time actor.The 285-lb doorman was nicknamed the “Hero of Cologne” for saving two young women on New Year’s Eve.
It was then that Jurcevic described what sounds like a mind-blowing scene from a box office-smashing action film.
“Then the loudest member of the gang came at me with a bottle so I kicked him in the chest and sent him flying. Another came at me so I slapped him across the face and he went over as well.
“The leader drew his finger across his throat and told me he would be back to kill me. I stood my ground and they went on their way.”
Hailed as the “Hero of Cologne,” Jurcevic was later arrested when he joined a patrol of outraged civilians, some who aggressively protested, three nights later.
“They said these Arab men would not leave them alone. What else could I do? Later the girls went into the hotel to hide.
“Throughout the night there were men coming up to women outside the hotel harassing them.”
Jurcevic added that any time female guests needed to step outside the hotel to smoke or leave, he would have to chase off drunken, groping Arab men.
“One woman begged me to walk her across the square to where her husband was waiting in the car. There were fireworks going off everywhere and drunks staggering around. She was terrified.
“Four months ago we [Germans] were welcoming these people [refugees] with open arms and teddy bears.”
