I have to go with Ruger. Love them and the 3 I have (p-85, lc9, 10/22 td) have never given me any problems.
I did stray one time. Bought a walther p-22, and what a mistake that was. come to find out they have a p-22 bible because there are so many things wrong. Had to send it in and what seems to have happened is a lot of metal was shaved off of the slide by the company (they didn't exactly give me a what we fixed note). However the hammer will still catch the slide (shaved some metal off the hammer now problem is gone). I also hear getting an after market spring from s&w helps a lot to. I put about 500 rounds through the p-22 after all that was done and had 3 problems with it fte. Which is a big step up from the problems I had with it while trying to put about 300 through it. Thats what I get for straying from ruger.

for durability and reliability I do as well. They could be more accurate (most not all that is)

Most impressive feature is how their aks are known to shoot under water.

Harrington and Richardson. My first gun I had purchased was this brand. Single barrel 20g with 3 inch modd.. Its a Jr topper, so its really short.
did have a winchester 270 with level action.. That has to be notable in my accounts for how freakishly accurate it was.
