Got a letter saying they are "pursuing legal action" and comcast is terminating my account with them for downloading illegal jersey shore episodes.

shouldn't of left your internet open to others

whoever downloaded jersey shore should be put in a mental institution not sued

It's there job to give legal advice, I don't know all the rules exactly, they may not represent you in court but they can certainly tell you what to do a lot better than jsp forums can. Talk to your first line, show him the letter, he should get you up to jag to talk to them.
