Yeah, that's why he can't even do well within his own party. Why he hasn't won a primary yet.. Why he was at 9% in the polls in Florida... Why none of the other candidates even look at him seriously anymore...

He's the only candidate that can take votes from Obama. He's appealing to independents and young people. If the party got behind him, it would take the presidency.

Assuming more independents vote for him than Obama, and Obama loses a significant amount of Liberal voters as well as Paul winning 99% of the GOP vote, then that would be possible. Somehow I don't see that happening.

latest polls show 47% of independents voting for Paul, and 40% voting for Obama.

maybe so. But, Republicans want Obama out of office SO BAD that they would vote for Paul just to beat Obama. The same is not said for the "Ron Paul Republicans". We like Paul more than the others dislike Obama.
