I agree. Not only did they know how to set up an engrossing world/plot/cast of characters, but--unlike GOT--they knew how to end it well!

And I'm really glad, they made LotR back then, when there wasn't forced people of colour cast in every movie. The casting is outstanding! There isn't a single actor I would change in it! ^_^
Samuel L Jackson as Gandalf, dropping the MotherF@߀r bomb when he fights the Balrog would have been funny as hell tho... :rofl:
