lol'd... I made this diagram, but I don't think this is why its going to end, or if we even have a binary, its hypothetical, but it would explain the long eliptical orbits that we see in our solar system.

Aside from that, the passage through the ecliptic plane of the Milky Way is going to be an issue later this year. It will also cause the sun to let off a burst due to the gravitational influence of the flat plane (or dark rift) as we go through it.
