can you reword the last 3 lines, I don't really understand what you mean.

i'm not alive only because of my memories

my parents and friends have memories of me as well

those memories keep us alive

plus our actions can have affects (i chop down a tree for instance) which again proves that i exist (regardless of my memory)

now for associated memory

i may forget what the house i grew up in looked like

however if that house was filled with say the smell of vanilla

then if i were to get a strong wiff of vanilla then that memory may come back

same can be said about pictures, sounds, tastes, songs etc etc

all bring back supposedly "lost" memories

Well im not trying to like say that the things we do are meaningless. What I really mean is a little less philosophical sonding, err a lot less.

Lets say you get your memory completely erased of the past 3 hours then to the perspective of that person a second ago would actually be like 3 hours ago to another person.

Does that scenarion make sense?

oh shit. ok yeah.

so did you write the initial statement then?

or are you asking how that scenario you describe relates to it?

Yeah I wrote the initial statement, but realized I worded it such a way that was not condusive to what I want to prove next.

For now I am just asking if that scenario by itself makes sense.

hmm ok well this is what i'd say to you

although you lack memory of the events

there are still signs that it did pass

for instance the clock

regardless of your perception the events took place.

the fact that you realize that, the time lapse has become part of your reality

so in actuality to both you and the outside observer, 3 hours has passed.

Well there are signs that it passed but it doesn't change the fact that the person who gets his memory erased perceive it as 1 second right after.

Like a person would take some time to come to the conclusion that you're saying.

Or what if we just considered this happened to a person being born in a box. They have no idea of the outside world, no social interactions, nothing to influence them. I think my scenario makes sense in this case.
