They were never charged. They were housing units for artificial pockets of subspace that they drew zero point energy from.

Yes, but there should have been some sort of factory or something that created them, and I don't think the series ever explains where / how they were actually created.

They probably created it with that head grabber ancient knowledge repository and materializer device, wich Daniel created with the Grail.

It probably has a huge energy intake and/or time consuming, and the operator has to be an Ancient or a very advenced human. otherwise it would melt down his/her brain immediately, or wear it off too soon in the process. :)
Probably there are one or more of this device on Atlantis hidden in walls, and they didn't active because the lack of energy, and Rodney shut off all the non basic processes in the first season. Probably the Ancients depleted their energy much faster, than they could create new ZPMs, this might be one reason why there isn't any or thousands of them lying around Atlantis. Probably the drones are created on a similar way.

RDA was a great push in the show indeed, :) and he made the show much more awesome than it would have been without him, but it went pretty good still after he left it. If not the SyFy channels incompetence, we would still have 2-3 SG series and some SG movies :)

I loved Atlantis and I loved Universe too! But I get the hate towards it. The channel killed off SG1 in favour of Atlantis, and we hated a little atlantis for it at the beginning. And when Atlantis finally won our heart, they killed it off in favour for a brand new series. I still gave a chance to Universe, and I loved it! :blush: In regard SG1 first 2 seasons, or Atlantis 1-2 seasons, Universe was much more exciting and interesting! If they continued it for 5-6 seasons, the rest of the fans would love it in the end ^_^

Loved the episode about time dilation

Im definitly more of a star trek fan but stargate had some good concepts


I used to think trek and gate were so lame but roomate had playing one day and i fell in love
