how do i connect my laptop up to the internet my pc uses threw the same modem?

srsly its not that hard my mate connected his pc to my modem ni like 10 seconds, i just have no idea how to do it.

put another ethernet cable into the back of your modem and plug your laptop into it. if you only have one plug then you can either choose which computer to plug in, or get a router

kk done the ethernet but how do i set it up, the laptop only has a preset dial up thing.

search your laptop model on the companies website and look for a driver, it should already be there though. or go to control panel and look for lan setting and get it to automatically detect settings

found lan setting how do i get to auto detect?

right click > properties > click on internet protocol (but dont deselect) > click on properties > click obtain automatically for both then click ok
