Hey everyone,

For those of you that are experiencing problems with Avast detecting a problem with Java (error message: Java Dermit-A [Trj]), don't panic!

This is a false positive and should disappear if you make sure to allow RuneScape access to your computer being doing the following:

You will need to consult your user manual/ help topics for the specific settings needed by your security programs/firewall/router.

Add exceptions for the following domains in your firewall:
*.runescape.com, .Runescape.com

To make it easier to check if this affecting you, there's a program called 'ShieldsUP' that you could use that will tell you if those ports are open or not.

If you find that you struggle doing this, here is a website with plenty of manuals and instructions for different firewalls and routers that you can use

Let us know how you get on by either posting here or, if the problem persists, by submitting a Technical Ticket so we can take a closer look

Thanks,
