Temple Trekking: Quick Leveling

This guide focuses on the fastest possible method of leveling your NPC's.
I do not recommend this if you are trying to obtain good rewards from the reward tokens.

Requirements:

Priest In Peril
Nature Spirit
In Search of the Myreque
In Aid of the Myreque
Darkness of Hallowvale

Equipment:

The majority of this guide is having your character aiding the NPC so that they do not take damage but do all the damage.
Therefore, you will want the best pray bonus that you can get.
I suggest a setup such at this:

Worn:
Helm of Neitiznot
Blue/Red Cape
Salve Amulet (e)
Proselyte Hauberk
Proselyte Tasset
Chaotic Rapier
Dragon Defender
Dragon Boots
Barrows Gloves
Explorer's Ring

Inventory:
Ivandis Flail/Silver sickle (b)
Holy Wrench
3 Prayer Potions
Potatoes (10)
Druid Pouch
Teleports
Food

Note: The Ivandis flail is not needed but if you do use it I recommend you collect the Vyre Corpses because for every 50 corpses you burn you not only get very nice rewards but your flail hits a bit harder.
You get this upgrade for every 50 corpses up to 500.

Getting Started:

There are two starting points, you can either start outside the Paterdomus Temple or in Burgh de Rott.
In both places there is a Noticeboard.
On the noticeboard there are 3 notes, each representing one NPC from easiest to hardest.
Each NPC begins at level 1 and maxes at level 99.
There are separate rewards for NPC level and total party level.

NPCs:

There are a total of six NPCs to choose from, 3 from Paterdomus and 3 from Burgh de Rott.
Each has their own difficulty and own rewards (see below).

From Paterdomus you have:
Pazuzu - Easy
Zachory Bragg - Medium
Rolayne Twickit - Hard

From Burgh de Rott you have:
Dean Velio - Easy
Jayene Kliyn - Medium
Smiddi Ryak - Hard (and annoying)

Now I recommend that you start with the easy and mediums with maybe one lap of hard at most.
This is because for the first 25 levels the hard NPCs are bearable but after that, they're the biggest pain.
Once you get the 4 easy/mediums to 99, move onto finish the hards.

Both easy and medium NPC's will attack monsters and get decent exp making this the best method for these 4.
The hard NPCs are terrible, they can attack but it is a waste of time since they almost never hit.
I suggest if you are leveling your hard NPCs to follow the hard route and complete each event fully.
This being said if you follow the hard path with the hard NPC you may not be able to evade the event.

Beginning the Trek:

Now that you have chosen your NPC you appear on a path.
The path has 3 routes,
Left - Easy
Straight - Medium
Right - Hard
I'd suggest taking the hard route.

After taking a route, you will appear in an event.
There are two types of events, aggressive and obstacle.

Aggressive Events:

Aggressive events are the ones that you are looking for.
They are the easiest to level your NPC on.
There are three ways out of an aggressive event. Continuing, Evading, and Escaping.
Evading will shorten your trek.
Escaping will drop you off somewhere within the swamps of Mort Myre.
If your NPC dies during an event, your next exit will take you into the swamps of Mort Myre.
There are nine in total:

1. Ghasts. By far the best for leveling, be sure you have a full druid pouch, once they appear, turn on Protect from Melee, take off your weapon, and aggro each ghast.
Make sure that they can constantly attack you while maintaining your prayer points.
Your NPC will eventually attack and kill each ghast while gaining a massive amount of levels.

2. Shades. I have a personal preference for shades. Turn on Protection from Melee, take off your weapon, aggro each shade into a big group.
The rest is the same as ghasts.

3. Vampyre Juvinates. Ew. None of the NPC's can attack these. Kill two or three and then evade the event.

4. Giant Snake. Bad. These creatures are extremely quick. You have to be quicker. Flip Protect from Melee on as fast as you can and aggro them before they reach your NPC.
Once they are all on you they are no problem.

5. Giant Snail. Different. These creatures attack with range so put on Protect from Range. You will have to aid your NPC in every kill.
The one exception is if you are using a mage or ranger and the snail is behind the lake. in the right position your NPC will be able to hit the snail without receiving damage.
If this happens just sit and wait.
To Greapper: yes Bragg can afk these for 1-99 but I advise against this because 1, it's extremely boring, 2, at level 80 he gets alot more powerful, 3, he can level faster on other monsters.

6. Nail Beasts. <3. Quick but weak. Protect from Melee is still needed. Only one or two of these will aggro onto your NPC. Help them kill those, then, if you have a ranger or mage just stand infront of them to keep them from getting to your NPC, no prayer is needed if this happens.

7. Skeletons. Pointless. If they weren't so easy I'd tell you to just evade.
Run into the graveyard, run in a circle to make every skeleton follow you, get to the tomb making sure there is only one or two rows of skeletons outside the fence.
Click the tomb to obliterate the first row. Even them out again so that in the next hit the will all be killed. Then click again. boom. done.

8. Vyrewatch. Same as Juvinates. Kill one or two and then evade.

9. Sea Creature. Pretty easy. Kill the tentacles then the head.
Even though this has never happened to me, there is a chance that your NPC night be knocked off the boat, if this happens, rescue them as quickly as possible.

Obstacle Events:

Obstacle events are quick.
There are two ways out of an obstacle event. Continuing and Escaping.
Escaping will drop you off somewhere within the swamps of Mort Myre.
If your NPC dies during an event, your next exit will take you into the swamps of Mort Myre.
There are six in total:

1. The Bog. Take a branch off the bush. Use it on the bog to safely maneuver your way across.

2. River Pass. Take a knife from the sack. Cut three vines off the nearby tree. Tie them together. Loop it onto the tall branch. Swing over.

3. The Birth of a Ghast. I bet you were asking why the hell you needed potatoes. Well this is it. These people will dye in three stages sick-very sick-ghastly. You need to feed them all.
Remove 5 potatoes and use one with each of the people. Done. Easier and faster then killing snails and cooking them, right? Thought so.

4. The Broken Bridge. Go get a hatchet from the sack and equip it. Cut three trees and repair the bridge.
Now, sometimes you might get lucky and zombie lumberjacks will come out of the river. They drop planks you can use to repair the bridge. They also might drop a piece of lumberjack clothing.

5. Abidor Crank. If you are pleased with your stats and rotten food then run through this one. All he does is turn your rotten food into stew and return your stats to normal.

6. Grotto. WATER POWER. Right click the nature spirit to get water power. Then all you have to do is spam click the fire to put it all out.

Summary:
Well that was a nice read, I know half of you didn't read all of it so here's the short version.
You want your NPC's to level, not you.
Waste your prayer potions for them.
Trade them food before and feed them during by using food on them.
If you set up right you want have to feed them at all because you will be taking all of the "damage"
Try to max the easy and medium NPC's because the hard ones are pains.
Safespot as much as possible.

Thats all for now,
