I'm gonna show you that Proselyte is better than bandos.

First let's see proselyte stats with maxed melee.



Second let's see bandos stats with maxed melee.



You can clearly see the low difference in defence and the massive prayer + 38-42m cash less, and also, almost no risk! ( 3 item after death )

So which one is better? You can stay way longer with proselyte praying melee, or you can use soulsplit with proselyte. You can use turmoil alot longer, etc, and you
can even risk anywhere with it.

/Edit, I used completionist cape which ''lower'' the difference between bandos and proselyte, usually you have +4 prayer because of fire cape ( or +12(?) soulwars. )

You made it way too general.. Bandos > Proselyte in almost all situations..

If you can heal with proselyte and s/s you will last so much longer lmao. Def is close to be useless in anything in general for 220 or 280.
