Same here lol. I'll get it this weekend though, it'll be interesting to see if thie guy is as long winded as Jordan was in some parts of the series.

Plus I've invested way too much time in this series just to abandon it now,and some parts I really liked.

Unfortunately I am second in line in my household, so I have to wait a day or two as #1 is a slow ass reader. Can't wait though.

I bought The Gathering Storm on the Day of its release. Finished reading two days ago. I have to Sanderson did a FANTASTIC job. It isnt the best in the series, but he did not dissapoint, and I LOVED this book. The ending was fantastic with two different climaxes and Ewene KICKS ASS. I felt bad for Rand the whole book :/

Reading it now =). Honestly it's been so long since I read the last book that I can tell a difference between Sanderson and Jordan.

It's really good.

I think I'd even go so far as to say it's one of the top three or four in the series.

i agree.
only thing i didn't like was how it jumped between the seperate stories a lot more than we are used to.
jordan would usually have severaly chapters in a row focusing on the same part, where sanderson jumped to a dif. story almost every chapter.
besides that, he did a great job with this book and i cannot wait for the next one.

1 more thing, i didnt like how when rand saw images of matt and perrin, they were in locations/with people that we hadn't happened yet, and didnt even get to in this book
