Hey guys, i'm having trouble lately with my 100mm 2.8L Macro lately. The zoom ring seems rather unresponsive in AF or MF mode. Does anyone have this problem or is this somewhat normal? It gets on my nerves when i need to make fine adjustments when shooting macro.

I don't have one but i want one so i would hope that's not normal? Hopefully your still in warranty so you can send it into canon for repairs?

EEK, your rotating thingy is broken! Happened to a french friend of mine. It's not supposed to act like that. Luckily, it is likely that it will be inexpensive to fix. If you're no longer under warranty, I can suggest some stores that have fixed some of my old stuff.

LOL. Good to hear, posted on fm and potn too... i guess it's not normal.. lucky it's still under warranty, but then i'll still be out shipping charges zzz.

Time for a visit to Canon Irvine. Gonna miss my lens for 2 weeks

Gotta love living within 10 minutes of Canon Irvine. They had my lens recalibrated and cleaned within 2 days without the shipping costs. Only had positive experiences from Irvine even though Ive read about some bad reviews on potn

Lul... everyone notices that. I was tired last night

dood I gotta send my tokina 11-16mm away for quite a few weeks just because the silly lens hood doesnt fit in correctly. It somehow sits on the lens angularly, which gives ugly shadows in the corners on the bottom end of the zoom. that´s some pain in the ass. I could get all mad about it.
