Hey guys, I just stumbled upon this really neat new website called ZA.
It's made by a guy named Zack Arias.

http://www.zarias.com/

I find it quite inspiring, and there's some really neat resources on it.

One of my favorites I saw on the website is actually a photo challenge:
You have 10 hours to school 10 portraits of 10 strangers.
You also have the Video record a "profile" for each the people.
Including the initial converse of requesting permission to record/take a photo of them.
A bit about themselves, how long they have lived in your city, and 1 tip they would share with the world.
Then you shoot the portraits!!

I found it really neat, and inspiring.
I showed it to my friend, and we're hopefully going to attempt the challenge next year while we're in NYC for the summer.

Just thought I'd share, I know 1/2 of you probably won't even be looking in this thread, but eh.
I know I've been stupid lately, I really have no excuse or explanation for it, but I do apologize.
I just guess I sometimes can't handle some comments I get going from nice ones on Flickr to ones on here that I could take the wrong way, but I do still feeling "crap" is not an appropriate comment.

Enjoy :)

Also, here's a few shots I've taken recently, just though I'd share. I've been talking to some photographer about taking harsher criticism.

That first shot looks cool but it's all because of the post work.

If you ever decide to do a proper commercial photography course, I'd urge you to learn and be able accept extremely harsh critisicm at times. It's all a learning process.

Lol. Thanks.

I'm in a several thousand Photography course in UofC with people far older than me.
I've had 3 Galleries, and having my 4th on December 29th, in Toronto.

That challenge seems to be a quite full one for 10 hours! I bet I could do it though. I'm not going to haha it's something I'd do in school that's for sure. It would be an awesome school project.

That is why I suggested he post some of his work in a pure photography forum, where all sorts of photographers can comment on his work, help him out etc.

I like the doggy photo, pretty cute and interesting narrow framing. The narrow frame helps put the focus on the dog more and makes the background somewhat interesting also.

Thanks for sharing the website.

If you really want to have a shit slinging thread, go for it. I gave you criticism, you reacted like a child. You wouldnt last a day in the industry with that attitude.

Thanks for the pm too, maybe I should screenshot it and post it so people around here will understand how much of a cry baby you really are.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Photography from RMIT in Melbourne, Australia. Majoring in Commercial photography and Photojournalism. I have shot 4x5, 8x10, 6x6, 6x7, 35mm (all film) and of course Digital SLR. I've had hundreds of hours experience shooting/assisting in studios (working with complicated sets and flash setups) and on location. I have a 5D with numerous pieces of glass. This is the company I am working for at the moment, feel free to browse:
