I was out this weekend on a short photo trip with a few friends..

When I was changing lenses I dropped my house into the snow, mount down!
The mount was filled with snow. Disastrous! I made sure the camera was turned off and started wiping the snow away.
I made sure everything was gone with a microfiber cloth. The camera was working as it should and it still does!
The only thing that happened was that one water drop dried on the mirror. It appears in the same spot (no shit?) more or less in every picture I take.

How should I clean it away? And yeah, I know I'm lucky :P

OMG. YOU DROPPED YOUR HOUSE?

Lol j/k.

Must be horrifying. You have the d7000 no? It should be quite weather resistant then (the outer shell at least).

If i still had my rebel.. i would not even dare to do what i did couple days ago in the snow.

I had to wipe it down every 10 mins and the lens every 3 minutes LOL.

Shot with it outside.

And my super duper sexy boxers. Yes, my ass was cold.

^^

Well, it's weather resistant, but not when the mount is exposed :P

Hehe, did you check to see if anything is stuck on the sensor? The droplet on the mirror shouldn't affect the image since it flips out of the way when the shutter is pressed.

Thank you for telling me this.

my bad luck spree goes on. and there is no end in sight.

today I cancelled my order at amazon.de for the canon eos 5D Mark II, because I was waiting for almost 3 weeks now, and they dont even have it in stock yet. so I went to a pretty famous german photo equipment seller called ac-photo.com and wanted to order my 5D Mark II with express delivery. I hit "instant bank transfer" and wanted to pay them straight away. unfortunately my bank account doesnt allow me to transfer more than 1000€ via online banking....... so I canceled the order and wanted to redo it. this time with prepayment. same shit in green. couldnt transfer that much money ( dont ask me why ). so to make it short, now I have to go to the bank 2morrow, transfer it manually, then propably wait 3 working days ( oh wait, we´re close to the weekend, nobody´s gonna work then ), which leads us to the conclusion that it´ll take until tuesday before they even send the lady. then I guess another 2 days until I get it.

FUCK OFF. most of my enthusiasm about getting a new camera is gone.................
