you know that 70-200 is awesome but what other lenses do you have? any wideangle till normal tele lenses?

hmmm add a ultra wide angle to it. like the 17-40 4.0 or the 16-35 2.8... or get a 24-70 ( that one i would have taken instead of the 70-200, if you dont have other lenses) the 70-200 is a pretty long tele lens for portraits and some landscape photography... i rarely use that zoom range.. i am more the landscape / people kind of guy and have a 14-24 2.8 and a 50 1.8 + 85 1.8.. .the 14-24 since i mainly use and sell these images and a 50 1.8 and 85 1.8 since these are pretty good lenses and have similar quality to the much more expensive 1.2 / 1.4 lenses...

a 70-200 2.8 i would only add if i have the money or would use it regularly... depending on what you shoot get the lens :-)

it is my fav lens, although most jobs are done with the 24-70
i dont do much landscape, but one of the next lenses on my list is the 17-40 f4 cant warrent the 16-35 f2.8 price for the little i will really use it, before it tho is the 300mm f4

It's good to see that you are getting rid of those cheap low quality lenses and get some high end L lenses to use with your full frame body.
The cheap f1.8 do NOT have similar quality as the L primes. They can not even compare. I have had the 50 f1.8 and it can't even compare to the 24-70L zoom let alone the L primes. First of all the bokeh produced by the 50 f1.8 is just awful and it's mainly sharp in the center while it's build like a plastic toy with a pathetic and almost unusable manual focus ring. To me the extra money I spent on the 35L and 85L are well worth it. I'd rather shoot with digital Rebels with a bunch of high quality lenses than the latest and fanciest full frame body with a bunch of plastic consumer lenses.

get the 24-88 f2.8 or whatever..
