My suggestion is that the user name search function here --> http://forums.d2jsp.org/tools.php?a=2 should be changed to be less specific.

Often times I remember part of a users name but not all of it. In order to use the user search, you are required to know the entire name correctly. If for, example, you wanted to search my profile, you would be required to know my full name fatal_aquaintnc.

But lets say you only remember my name included the word Fatal, or you weren't quite sure how I spelled the 2nd part. With my suggestion you could type "Fatal" into the user search, and you would be provided with a list of names similar to the search.

ex. typing "Fatal" would yield

Fatal
iFatal
Fatal_Aquaintnc

so on so forth...

then you could choose the correct profile that you were looking for.

Sorry if this has already been suggested. I attempted to find it via google and didn't see anything.

well its just that sometimes I will find something and remember seeing someone post an iso for it, or if I had dealt with someone in the past and wanted to contact them but didn't remember their full user name.

Reason I thought of it was because just today I remembered someone was interested in a circle I had. They contacted me via pm and I deleted the messages. I only remember the name but not the numbers at the end. So I won't be able to msg him until I happen to come across his name again. By then it could be a moot point.

If this was implemented it would be very useful, that's a yes from me

ikr , there is no logical reason to dislike this idea. And even for the guy that said he wouldn't use it...seriously? why not? you don't think you will EVER forget someone's user name and want to get in touch with them? really? everrrr?? what you would just cut your losses? silliness.
