DayZ is a highly popular mod of Arma 2 that has taken off yet recently with over 1,089,652 players currently playing.
This forum could be a place for said players to interact and help others learn the ways of playing it, organize trades for equipment and supplies.

Its nice to have views, would be even nicer if you guys voted as well. Even if you vote no, just saying.

There has been some discussion about this in the "Other Games" forum.

While it would be nice, there is not enough interest for a dedicated forum. I believe you need somewhere in the neighborhood of 100 threads/1000 posts in order to have a forum created for you, and DayZ/Arma2 is nowhere in that area. Even then, it would only get a very small dedicated subforum in "Other Games."

Trade is not sanctioned, and it will never be sanctioned by jsp because of how it functions. There is no guarantee that when you're trading items the other person won't just kill you and take your things. Because of this volatility, it can never be mediated safely, and a trading forum for DayZ will NEVER exist.

The game itself isn't that multiplayer in design. Sure, it's nice to have a place to discuss it, and there is in the Other Games forum, but the odds of getting a dedicated forum for Arma 2 are inconceivable at this time.

This is coming from someone who has played DayZ for over a month, and discussed it heavily on this forum already.

Unsure as of now since I do not play the game.
Although I do see a lot of people talking about it.
