My Suggestion:

I believe spoiler tags should be incorporated. Spoiler Tags are used to hide lots of texts or images until you click the "show" button. In which case all the text/images are revealed until you click the "hide" button.

Why and what benefits this function provides:

This would be very beneficial when it comes to organizing a long post. (Examples: Long trading lists in which you normally only see the Words Armors, Weapons, etc. with a spoiler tag under each Category. Or it could be used in the Graphic Request forum when someone requests more than one signature. You would just see something like. Spiderman Sig, Superman Sig, Green Lantern Sig, etc with a spoiler tag under each giving more info on what is desired.) I believe I got the point across on what Spoiler tags do and how they are useful, but also I believe it could bring the removal of the no more than 3 images a post rule. Maybe the rule could be something like only 3 images outside of a spoiler tag and only 3 images inside of each spoiler tag. I'm not sure if that is possible to enforce but it is an idea .

I don't get how there is a probability to abuse...

imo if you are going to make a suggestion and put the cons, make sure you have more pros and that they outweigh the cons.

with that said, the "abuse" of spoiler tags isn't possible. It would be weird to blame it on the spoiler tags for what people put in them. What they put in them was already going to be put there. Spoiler tags only hide the text/images until you click the button. The only con to that is when some idiot puts like 15 spoiler tags inside of each other and puts one single sentence in the end.. This could be handled with a max use of spoiler tags per post. I don't really want to see that though, as there will be a lot of people who legitimately need more. If possible it would be best to have it where spoiler tags don't work inside of each other. Ofc that lowers the abilities of organization with spoiler tags, however this site isn't a site that needs a lot of organization when posting. You only need nested spoilers for organizing theory like posts. And there aren't any of those.

Users hide flames and porn and other gross pictures and no one notices.

My experience with spoiler tags only proves otherwise. You can't say it doesn't work in practice when it has never even been tried here. Every forum site that i visit and has spoiler tags doesn't have any problems with keeping up with the flames and porn. Ofc, I understand the user base to staff ratio is quite high. But spoiler tags isn't adding work for staff members. This is a huge misconception. It's not like the "show"/"hide" button is a link and needs to load up. It is instant. Spoiler tags also are very noticeable when posted. I doubt anything would go unnoticed on such a large forum. There will always be at least 1 member to report the post. I believe the real problem lies in the lack of staff and the misconception that spoiler tags will add more work for the already strained staff.
