Suggestions for preventing ls item scams...

1st Suggestion! Under Fourm Gold logs add when items are transferd between guildies using the Item Vault
Example - Tuesday, September 01, 2009 9:25:51 PM Item Vault from Guild Member "XXX" (by Guild Transfer) LS Item Transfer 17694956 <-- ID for which item was transfered

2nd Suggestion! When making a sale / purchase on the Market Place on ladder slasher it gives an ID number shown in gold logs as seen below.
Tuesday, September 01, 2009 9:25:51 PM Store 900.00 (30.92 -> 930.92) from Forum Bank (by Forum Bank) LS Item Sale 17694956

My suggestion would to make a new icon for the Town Center labled "Item ID" with a text box so you can enter a code from the gold logs to find out which item has been sold / purchased / transferd. After entering the code it will then show the exact stats of the item code entered.

Both Suggestions go together, I think they would be useful to prevent LS items from being stolen between guild members

though i like the idea, it has still some fails in it.
with this method, it would be pretty easy to get one locked, even if he did not steal anything. example:
i send u a crap item via vault which i am pretty sure, u will trash.
after that u trashed it, i make my accusation up in scammer forum.
whoom, u get ur bann.

Yes this is true, very smart thinking. This isnt an easy suggestion, but my main cause is to enforce the scamming of lending items

no on the first one

the logs would look immensely crazy , especially in guilds where members slash/transfer daily xx+ items

For the first one, maybe there should be a separate log, instead of adding it to the current gold log. Adding all guild transfers to gold log would make it one big pile of clutter.
And YES on the second one.

Edit: Although, you should not lend items out to those whom you do not trust. That would make this suggestion completely useless.

Yes but people manipulate trust, you think you can trust some1 but they back stab you. I had a good friend on d2 for 2-3 years and i finally gave him my password and he took it after a week. So it's not that people are giving items to people they DON'T trust, but simply think they can

I agree with you, I think something should be done so that people must face consequences for their ladder slasher actions.

not any of this "there is no scamming in LS" business.

the first idea would be cool, but like others have said...logs would be FILLED with mess.

the second idea I really like.

It sucks to hear what happened to Max :(

good idea but dont think it will prove alot just cause a bunch of crap, and people could be ignorant about it as well with fake claims.
