Hi all,
imo the "New Topic Button" should be removed because it will always lead to a closed thread in this forum. The following quote is taken from "How to Post a Site Suggestion"

Remember to post your Site Suggestion idea using a Poll, so people will be able to vote if they agree with your idea or not.
Additional arguments:
- People who create a new topic clearly didnt read the instructions. If someone new wants to post in here and is only able to create a poll he will more likely read the instructions because he might be confused about how to set up a poll
- Even if the person doesnt read the instructions and posts an absurd poll (which gets closed afterwards), he would've created a topic anyways if he had the possibility to
- Sometimes people just missclick, creating a new topic instead of poll and dont realise it until they've already posted it (proper site suggestion with arguments and explanation but WITHOUT poll to vote on)
I cant think of any negative aspects of this suggestion to be honest so I wont state any
