I initially am thinking it's not a problem for me personally to accept a friend request but then I realize that mine is right at the top. I'm sure it's a simple add-on and it saves a few seconds if someone has it at the bottom with a large profile information section so I'm yes/no on this.

To put it in context, my Friend's requests go unnoticed for weeks/months unless I check my profile page regularly. Are we all diligent in regularly checking our profile page for these requests? Some do, some don't.

My proposal addresses this issue by highlighting new Friend's requests and by giving immediate access to the Friends page via a link in the Header section.

/edit: Last week I answered a Friend's request. I found out of this only by chance while updating my profile page. Otherwise, it may still be sitting there, unanswered..

I find that there is a long span of time that goes by before anyone even realizes that they have a request pending. Relocating it would definitely make things much easier when adding new friends.

Sounds like a good idea, I don't always click my profile so I got no idea if soemone is trying to add me unless I got IM on and even then it is still a great idea to have it located at the top. You have my support Dmon.

I'd say have an option in "account settings" that created a bar below the messages bar etc that allows you to manage different things without accessing your profile, you have my yes, Dmon
