Hello

I've seen several ipad apps for different forums
this way if you're on ipad you don't have to navigate to the site or bookmark it.
this will also get rid of browser compatibility issues (if any exist)


i know you're busy improving the site but this would be a nice thing to have on the android and ios market!

if you make a d2jsp app you can allow in app purchases.
the money can come from 1 of three places per itunes account.


either:
a ) they have an itunes balance established by buying an itunes card.
b ) they have a cc tied to their itunes account which gets charged for all purchases in and out of apps
c ) they have a debit card tied to their itunes account which gets charged for all purchases in and out of apps

ive seen lots of apps that use in app purchasing to gain revenue instead of charging for the app itself.
this could make it easier for people to obtain fg while maintaining liability on the people instead of d2jsp.
this also would open up revenue otherwise unusable.

and if they cant pay for the purchase then they dont get the fg.

This has been suggested many times in the past and it has been made clear that there are no intentions of creating an app for d2jsp in the near future (it has always been denied). The main reason for this is due to the fact that d2jsp works perfectly fine on mobile browsers.
I've never personally had an issue with the site and I use multiple mobile devices on a day to day basis. Thus, it's a no from me.

It already work spretty well on different devices.

We have tried so many times.

I even offered to code it (i have one almost done but i cant get it approved). It's a really great Idea (says me the guy who got it rejected). :-P
I vote yes just because I still think it's a great plan.


Think about all the benefits people

you can make it anything from a faster S/A system, uploader, hell even make an app JUST for rules/contact info. A list of all the mediators/mods/admins there are plenty of informational things we can do that wont require anything that's banned. Thanks for trying nerdrage

I know what he means just trying to make it more interesting. But tying that in to I-tunes would be a chore and probably not worth proposing until after it got approved.
We need core values for this if it ever is going to have a chance. And so far nobody can provide that. I got my image host approved after a senior mod denied it. persistance and hard work, and now I have over 700 images uploaded in the past two weeks. I think we could get an APP approved but it won't be as interesting as we want (unless Paul codes it to incorporate our logins)

I say there's no need.

there might not be a real demand for it now but if it gets released in the apple marketplace more and more people will use it.
especially if they dont wnat to run windowed or alt tab out of stuff to trade or get fg.

plus more income is always good

i just like seeing people succeed. i dont understand the reasoning these people have behind their ideals.

even if he used a template or outsourced the dev it wouldnt cost as much as it would make.
outsourcing and or using a template like other forums have done would substantially decrease the dev time as well.

the only thing i would be wary of would be the devs and other companies trying to get their grubby hands on royalties or % of sales made.
this can be prevented by having devs and external companies agree upon certain terms included in which is the agreement that no party except that of njaguar and d2jsp paid staff will get any royalties etc etc etc.


this frustrates me when i witness a a person of such status let people they have faith in call down decisions that can bring forth prosperity and expansion.
