It will never equal 1, if you always try to reach a whole number just by adding decimal places, you will never get to 1

If I use your $100 bill as an example of your wierd logic. If I snip a part off and leave 0.99999999999999999999...... remaining of the bill then the bill isn't a whole is it?

If I cut off 1 degrees off a circle making the revolution only 359 degrees then the circle isn't whole isn't it? Which then we'd use the dimensioning in radius. Only use diameter if the circle is a full revolution of 360 degrees.

Even if the slightest of pieces of something is taken off then that entire thing isn't a whole anymore. Your body isn't a whole because you snip off your hair and finger nails. You yourself aren't 1, you are more like .9999999999999999999999999999999999999999999...

When you divide by 1 by 3 you get an infinite number

What do you get?

If you multiply an infinite number by the reciprocal of its divisor, then of course you are going to get what you started with... but just go ahead and try to multiply that infinite number, your argument its moot. And not even worth arguing..

but .999... is infinite, it is just a representation of a finite number

it actually represents 9/10 + 9/100 + 9/1000 and so on...

u cant take away the supposed amount you would like to take away... this what .00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000... Where does the 1 go? o wait...

there is no spot for the .0...1 , cuz its infinite... ~~ limited understanding, you cannot take away this .0...1 from 1 unless you can define the number you intend to subtract

3/9 = .333...
and so on
8/9 = .888...
now for the sake of argument lets say that u dont know that 9/9 = 1

-81... and so on

OFC it = 1 but so does .999...

nope cuz if u add 1 to it ANYWHERE b4 the end of the infinite number, you wont get 1 ull get 1. 000...999... after where ever u decided to add the 1

the idea of something that is infinite is so impossible for some people to grasp

the 1 is just there so u can know what the last digit would be
just like the last digit in 0.99999 is a 9
