but .999... is infinite, it is just a representation of a finite number
it actually represents 9/10 + 9/100 + 9/1000 and so on...
u cant take away the supposed amount you would like to take away... this what .00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000... Where does the 1 go? o wait...
there is no spot for the .0...1 , cuz its infinite... ~~ limited understanding, you cannot take away this .0...1 from 1 unless you can define the number you intend to subtract
CPK001, write the equation...
here ill help u
.9999999... + X = 1
damn or how about
1 - X = .999999...
what does x = ?
~~ and for Hotdog you like google so much
http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=does+.9999+equal+1&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8heres another simple proof for u non-believers
1/9 = .111...
2/9 = .222...
3/9 = .333...
and so on
8/9 = .888...
now for the sake of argument lets say that u dont know that 9/9 = 1
so
.9999999999999/ 9
-81
9
-81
9
-81... and so on
OFC it = 1 but so does .999...
