Hi and welcome to my first tutorial, I ain't a super pro either at photoshop I'm just gonna learn u some basics making a easy sig without brushing smile.gif
Maybe I'll make some more tutorials if u guys like them and if I got time smile.gif
Oh, and please post ur work if u can I really want to see it tongue.gif
Tutorial Sig Result:
http://img431.imageshack.us/img431/3686/tutsig7yd.jpg (Couldnt add it here because I'm at the maximum posting pic amount)

Ok let's get starting:
Step 1. Background
A. Make a new document with the size of the sig u want, I used 300x100.
B. Now go to [Filter > Render > Clouds]
C. Now go to [Filter > Pixelate > Mezzotint] Choose "Grainy Dots"
D. Ugly eh? Lets make it nice by going [Filter > Blur > Radial Blur] And use these settings:
Amount: 100
Blur method: Zoom
Quality: Best
U should have something like this by now:

Step 2. Coloring
A. Now we are gonna add some colors u got 2 way to do it: (If u are really a beginner like first time take the first method)
NOTE: See the picture below if u dont know where the "Hue/Saturation" and "Gradient Map" are.
Method 1: Go to Hue/Saturation and click on the "Colorize" box first and than use these settings:
Hue: Try moving it everywhere until u find ur color. (0 for red)
Saturation: 25 (More or less depends if u want the color darker / lighter)
Lightness: 0
Method 2: Go to "Gradient Map" and add 2 colors first one abit darker and second one abit lighter.
B. (Optional) Go to "Brightness/Contrast" if u think ur background is abit too light or dark.
U should have something like this by now:

Step 3. Final Touch
A. (Optional) If u have a nice C4D render place it in the sig and put it to "color or linear dogde" (Layer > Layer Style > Blending Options)
B. Now u might want to place a render in the sig, first open the render and resize it and than place it in ur sig.
C. Duplicate that render (Press CTRL+J) Now u should have the orginal render and a copy one.
Select the orginal render and go to [Filter > Blur > Motion Blur] I Use 0 angle and 3 pixels.
Now go to [Layer > Layer Style > Outer Glow] And click OK.
D. Now make a new layer and put it above all the other layers.
Get ur "Rectangular Tool" (Press "M" its just left of the Move Tool) and select the whole layer (Press CTRL+A) and Right Click and choose "Stroke" Use these settings:
Width: 1 px
Color: Black
Location: Center
Blending: Normal
Opacity: 100%
E. Add some text and ur done! (Use some very light color and follow next step to make it nicer)
F. (Optional) Go to [Layer > Layer Style > Stroke] Change these settings:
Size: 1 px
Color should be a darky color till u like the color when ur done press OK.
Here is something u should have by now:

Resources can be found here including a C4D:

There should be something like written above [file / edit / layer / filter / ect..] should be there. I dont know if it works for piantshop pro, I used photshop.
Render = A part that u can add to the background like the girl I added.

Ya I know the background is kinda not good, but as I said just learning u guys some basics, u can try other type sof blur for other effects or add other renders or even self brushing tongue.gif

mkay, well I don't really like the outcome, but the tutorial is easy to follow.
And a tip : Instead of using hue / saturation, i'd suggest using Color balance (CTRL +B )

And this is my outcome with 15 sec's of work.

Ups : fixed tongue.gif

I know its easy work wanted to learn "fresh beginners" at least something smile.gif, I'll try a beter outcome tutorial hopefully later and abit more diffucult.
Color balance is also ok, I hated it cuz too much coloring imo laugh.gif

@Remi u got a wrong type it should be "CTR +B" instead of that smilie there ^^
