Its probably been said, but imo its better to add a guide in this topic that explains how to lower size with little to no quality loss in photoshop by using the "Save for web and devices" function. I.e. by removing some colors in the png palette

40 Kb i think so. This guide is good, but it wont work with gif format animated signatures. :((
