Betting In The Martial Arts, Boxing, and Wrestling Forum v4.0

Disclaimer: This is a public service announcement that is applicable for Martial Arts, Boxing, and Wrestling (MABW) forum only. The content of this post is solely the opinion of the thread creator. D2JSP does not support or endorse betting and will not tag a welcher as a scammer.

This thread is pretty much the index for the forum and contains most of the helpful topics. If you bookmark/track nothing else, I strongly suggest you bookmark/track this thread.

Betting Tips
If you're new to this forum, we recommend that you use a mediator. It may be slightly more of a hassle, but it helps ensure you receive your hard-earned FG. Make sure to take time to each of the mediator's rules (usually located in their profile), as it helps them out greatly. More information about mediators below.

Avoid betting via PM without making a thread and when you do, make sure both parties confirm in-thread. When in doubt, put it in a thread. PMs make it more difficult to determine if a welch has occurred. Make the bet as transparent as possible in-thread where everyone can see. If you post a bet offer, make sure that both bettors reach an agreement before going offline. This means either calling off the bet, solidifying the bet, or stating if you'll be gone, such as saying "AFK", "Betting done for the night", etc.... When in doubt, use a mediator, that's why they're here.
New Stuff: Please give the mediators time to pay out bets, make changes to the lists, and reply to PMs. Our PM boxes get very full very quickly. When asked "When will I received my FG?" the answer is always: "As soon as [med] gets a chance." Please allow us sufficient time to process things as we volunteer our time. You can help us out and speed things up by sending the requested material, making sure you follow the rules in our profiles, and not spamming us with PMs.
Mediators
Currently there are the following mediators (in alphabetical order): FatZero, Havocide, lncarnaxim, and MerleHaggard. Remember to follow the guidelines listed in their profiles, especially in regard to sending FG. In addition to mediating bets, lncarnaxim will also oversee additions to the bettor's list and script. When using FatZero as a mediator, please follow the rules listed in lncarnaxim's profile.
Obtaining 'Active' Status in the MABW Forum
PM lncarnaxim with at least 8 bets from at least 6 different events. Links to betting threads are the best, but a screenshot of your gold log will be more than adequate. Please highlight or signify the relevant bets. Users will be removed from Active status due to forum inactivity. The entire list is checked periodically. If you have not posted in the past 50 days (in any forum on D2JSP) you will be removed. This will help keep the list current. A post every 7 weeks isn't that hard, is it? If you have been removed due to inactivity, you will need to resubmit betting links, SS's, etc...
Reporting A Welcher
lncarnaxim will handle the welching accusations. Please provide him with as much evidence as you can (screenshots of PMs/gold logs, links to threads) to assist him. Be warned that if you intentionally try to falsely label someone as a welcher, this will only result in your own name being added to the list. Misunderstandings do happen, but let's just all try to get along. :D

Threads with bet confirmation confusions are being tracked. Any user that has too many "questionable" threads may be put into the "Welcher" or "Redeemed Welcher" column. You are welcome to discuss disputes with lncarnaxim. We are not overly comfortable with holding users' reputations in our hands, but keep in mind that just because we find something to be unpleasant, doesn't mean we won't do it. Peace. :D

Update: Also, if there is evidence that a user has welched in another forum, he/she will be added to the welchers list in a special category called "Welcher - Other'. We do not know how other subforums run their lists, therefore we set our own standard for people to follow if they want to bet in here. People who have welched in this forum will need to pay off any bets before placing any further bets. People who have welched in other forums will be allowed to bet, but it is highly suggested they do so with a mediator.
The MABW Scripts
Current Version of Chrome Script: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/fndkolbibkpphjiicambmnmfhgadfnoj
Current Version of Firefox Script: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/57344

Like some of the other betting forums, we use a script that updates users on betting status (Mediator, Active, Welcher, etc...). You can read more about the Chrome and Firefox scripts here. These are the most current lists of bettor status in this sub-forum, so if you're using Firefox or Chrome, this is a handy tool. Additionally when using Firefox, if you click on the "MABW Bettor Status" text, it will bring up the most recent version of our bettors list image. In Chrome, simply click "MMA & Boxing Status:", then click it again in the pop-up window to bring up the image. Pretty nifty, huh?
Calculating & Finding Betting Odds
Here is a thread for those of you that still have lingering questions about it. We all can get confused with it at times, but with a little practice and a calculator, betting odds should become pretty easy for you to figure out for this sub-forum. If you have any doubts, please post them in this thread or the one which talks about money line betting.
One Last Note...
We are doing what we can to make this forum a safer place to bet for everyone. These are not set-in-stone rules, merely guidelines that if followed, may prevent any misunderstandings about bet confirmation. Feel free to let us know if you have any questions. We welcome your input and are happy to listen to new ideas. Keep in mind that we are volunteers, we do free work of our own free will and work hard to make improvements for the mutual benefit of all. Happy (and safe) betting!

Is the Grease monkey icon, in the bottom right corner transparent, or is it solid?

Greasemonkey was enabled and the script was running, but still showed nothing... removing and re-installing worked, though. Maybe the old script was interfering with the installation of the new one.

Apologies all around, there were some site changes and script updates that needed seeing to, but this happened during my busy time of year. Hopefully now everything is running smoothly for everyone.
