Bettor Status Scripts for Chrome and Firefox


Disclaimer: This is a public service announcement that is applicable for Martial Arts, Boxing, and Wrestling (MABW) forum only. The content of this post is solely the opinion of the thread creator. D2JSP does not support or endorse betting, you are betting at your own risk. If you are welched, DO NOT PM a mod or post in scammer accusations. They may raise your warn level.

What is the bettor status?
    Because betting is not supported by D2JSP, we decided to provide a means for bettors to identify welchers, mediators, and other members of this section. The betting status script shows someone's betting status below their avatar.
    Examples:

What is Greasemonkey and how do I use it?
    GreaseMonkey is a plugin for FireFox ( http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/personal.html ) that runs a JavaScript file after the page has loaded. It is fairly common now and Google supports people using it. They have even opened libraries for some of their services just for GreaseMonkey (such as Gmail). JavaScript runs on your computer through your browser. Firefox will limit the amount of load it puts on your computer so even if you have a slow computer as long as you have FireFox you are fine.

What does each status mean?
    THIS IS NOT ASSOCIATED WITH YOUR D2JSP TRADING STATUS OR WITH ANY OTHER FORUM. This is solely for the MABW forum! Colors may change according to browser.

    Senior Mediator - These people manage the bettors list in the MABW forum. They are trusted and have volunteered to mediate your bets.
    Mediator - These people are trusted and have volunteered to mediate your bets.
    Trusted - We do not currently support/provide a list of trusted bettors.
    Active - Members who have an active history of betting in this forum.
    Welcher - People who have welched someone and have not paid them back. Do not bet with them without a mediator.
    BLACKLISTED! - These people have welched on multiple occasions - DO NOT BET WITH THEM, EVEN WITH THE ASSISTANCE OF A MEDIATOR!
    Redeemed Welcher - People who have welched, but have since paid back what they owed.
    Unknown - These people have not yet been issued a ranking one way or the other. We suggest using a mediator if you do not know them and/or do not feel comfortable for any reason.

Where can I find the bettors list image?
    When using Firefox, if you click on the "MABW Bettor Status" text, it will bring up the most recent version of our bettors list image. In Chrome, simply click "MMA & Boxing Status:", then click it again in the pop-up window to bring up the image. Pretty nifty, huh?


I want to be moved to XX rank, who do I talk to?
    The current mediation team decides on promotion, demotions, and removals from the list as necessary. We will continue to keep our eye out for prospective mediators. To be considered for active, please read the most recent version of "Betting In the Martial Arts, Boxing, and Wrestling Forum" located in lncarnaxim's profile.

Are we allowed to have this?
    YES - thanks to scribbles we are allowed to have this (njag approved):
    They have allowed us to use this to try and reduce welching, so PLEASE don't abuse it.

Nothing wrong with it, I just had some problems with memory leaks, etc... Chrome suits my purposes better. :D
