Betting In The Martial Arts, Boxing, and Wrestling (MABW) Forum v2.0 (v1.0 located here)

Disclaimer: This is a public service announcement that is applicable for the MABW section only. The content of this post is solely the opinion of the thread creator. D2JSP does not support or endorse betting.

Betting Tips
    If you're new to this forum, we recommend that you use a mediator. It may be slightly more of a hassle, but it helps ensure you receive your hard-earned FG. Make sure to take time to read their rules (usually located in their profile), as it helps them out greatly. More information about mediators below.

    Avoid betting via PM without making a thread. Make sure both parties confirm in-thread. When in doubt, put it in a thread. It makes it very difficult to determine if a welch has occurred or not. Moreover, D2JSP does not endorse betting and will not tag a welcher as a scammer. When in doubt, use a mediator, that's what they're here to do.
Calculating Betting Odds
    Here is a thread for those of you that still have lingering questions about it. One thing I did not address in that thread, the "-" denotes the favorite, the "+" is next to the underdog.
The MMA Script
    Like some of the other betting forums, we use a script that updates users frequently on betting status. You can read more about it here. This is the most current list of bettor status in this sub-forum, so if you're using Firefox, this is a handy tool.
Mediators
    Currently there are the following mediators (in alphabetical order): hATemOnkEy, lncarnaxim, and MerleHaggard. Remember to follow the guidelines listed in their profiles, especially in regard to sending FG.
Obtaining 'Active' Status in the MABW ForumReporting A Welcher
    As of now, lncarnaxim will handle the welching accusations. Please provide him with as much evidence as you can (screenshots of PMs/gold logs, links to threads) to assist him. Be warned that if you intentionally try to falsely label someone as a welcher, this will only result in your own name being added to the list. Misunderstandings do happen, but let's just all try to get along. :D

is the script updated? I stopped betting because it seemed too old and out of date.

and the recent fights didn't seem interesting enough to bet on. I think i qualify for active too!
