i think thats a very stupid way to see it .. it's encouraged that fighters struggle instead of just tapping out the second they are in a sub (except heel hook maybe). but thats not even the main point. sometimes you jsut cant control it100%. you think you are still good and just need to put your hand a little further .... *daaaarknessss*

can't always control when in a choke and tap out early enough, especially when in a UFC fight ...

thats really what a ref is for, they are responsible for the fighters health inside the cage. THEY stop the fight, nobody else. no doctor, no medic, no judge ... only the ref

besides that, ofc the fighter is ultimately responisble for his health. showing up unprepared is dangerous. and: "Protect yourself at ALL times!"

but getting choked out happens, on a regular basis, and sometimes the fighters doesn't notice hsi opponent is out

This was my VERY first thought when I saw the Fitch fight

"Wtf Mazagatti?"

Not "Nice finish!" but "What the actual fuck?"

Was absolutely horrible

i disagree

you should, under no circumstance, go unconscious, it's a bad way to grapple, with the mindset that someone will have to choke you OUT to beat you, permanent damage can be caused,as with any submission, tap early, tap often

permanent damage is usually more detrimental to your career than losing 1 fight, especially if there's virtually no way of getting out of a tight choke like the one Burkman had Fitch in in the first place

Someone is not familiar with Overeem if you think this is the low of his career... one win and he's back on top bro.

But then again, you never watched PRIDE and only watched ufcs with triple digits... that combined with the obvious lack of intellect... i can't really blame you for it, can i?
