Hello CS Community.

I have had issues with frame droppage in the last couple weeks. I used to run the game at 400-500~ FPS. It now runs at a consistent 200~ (for me it is a big difference, yes you CAN feel the difference, I am GE)

Anyways, I believe my cfg is corrupted or CS:GO did some major changes to the game engine. I noticed there is no longer a config.cfg file in CS:Go

I have reinstalled and installed the game many times now and it is consistently keeping my CFG settings. I've even deleted the file out of common steam folder.

Any recommendations on how to fix my issues with FPS ? (I've also verified game cache)
How do I completely set my .cfg to FACTORY default settings. Nothing seems to fix this.

I run a GTX 980 ~ 3 monitors and an I9 processor.

Among other top notch hardware. I do not believe this is the issue. I think something within the cfg is corrupted.

I believe the big change was the recent patch where it set all your graphics settings to HIGH (I think it corrupted my cfg file) which I have PERSONALLY deleted, and it still uses same cfg. In game.

I noticed the same problem after there settings reset to high since the last patch..
And of course, I've also that fps drop on my notebook and no clue where it could come from :/

I was like 120 fps before the patch and now I can't go higher than 60-80 fps :O And when there is smoke, I can even freez !!
WTF seriously.

From the last patch, they had to correct the smokes that could disappear from alt tab, that mean they probably changed something on graphics/smokes display..

It's only observations, but it's fucking annoying to see your fps drop or just the fact that your graphical configs get reset -_-'

Have you ran " Verify Integrity Of Game Cache"? If you have, you may need to delete your local game content and files
and redownload /install CS:GO.

I run a 980GTX and do not have any issues with fps drops with the new recent patch.
You may also be feeling a throttle neck due to lack of power too.

Yes I have done integrity check and deleted local game content.

I believe there are still CS:GO files hanging around even after fresh uninstall. Which is why whenever I reinstall the game instead of starting the game as a FRESH INSTALL, it loads up my old cfg which should've been uninstalled.

Perhaps there is something left over in my registry.

Then i would run Ccleaner. If it still happens i have no idea.
Also if you have Launch Opts I would remove those too.

Assuming I work for intel, I suppose yes could be a correct answer :)
