Try watching demo's of how pros play, learn to utilize strats, try switching up your sensitivity up(Low sensitivity is key with 400-500 dpi), and don't always rush(this isn't cod).

watching how pros play and imitating the strats they use wont work (well) when you're playing in essentially a pug
really, best advice is to work on burst/spray, then get down nade/flash/prefire spots on different maps, and map awareness
sensitivity is personal preference aka does not affect how a person plays

PLAY DEATHMATCH
Know your maps.
Dont play with flamers
and you win

DON'T PLAY DEATHMATCH

If you are trying to get yourself better in CS, playing deathmatch will not help you in being more strategic about things... Yes you shoot alot of people in deathmatch, but its just a huge fuck fest.
Just keep playing 5v5s.. Only rush depending on your spawn, if you want to rush B tunnels as a CT at the beginning of the round, and you have a shitty spawn to do so ( lets say your closer to long A... in dust 2) Then just slow play it, play in site B, stop their rushes with a smoke/incendary grnade.
Everything is spawn related. Always plan you're perfect flashes, learn the maps, practice your nades etc.

A good trick I use, is fake a flash with a decoy, throw decoy then throw your flash ASAP than rush in. If your opponent turns for the decoy, by the time he turns back when he realises its a decoy, the flash gets him.

Theres just so many strategy in this game, you just have to play alot, and learn by experience, you can't rush yourself to be the number 1 player.

If you say you have problems at the start.. Practice the pistols, try not to use shitty ones. P250/glock are the best options. Forget the deagle unless you really know how to use it, since they nerfed it.

Anyways, GL

By the way i'm not a random scrub, i've played cal-icz, czl-i and cal-p 1.6... I know my shit

Thanks for info guys, I'll look up a few pro vids
It always seems like in a best of 30 I'm the sole reason why we win 4-5 of the rounds. (Because i clutched or i picked a bunch of opponents)

So far I believe my strengths are:
Clutching 1v2 or even 1v3 sometimes, I seem to get in the zone when all the pressure is on me.
This could be cause you are good under pressure or the fact that the enemy team is not experienced and just rushes the bomb site, not flashing or anything to help each other out.  A lot of player tend to go for frags over wins. And will rush straight to get the bomb.

Picking, If their picker is better I take one shot, if its a miss I move on to a site and support my team.
Smart, also be aware that you staying and picking gives good info on where the opponents are headed. You can see them crossing and sometimes even get another kill or more.

Stalling out bomb plants. I dont have to kill my opponents to win, this is lost on alot of my team mates.
Great strength to have, flashing, and just keeping them back is great.

Playing mind games with my opponents, I tend to fake rotations, False ladder noises and this allows me to get into position and they must come to me.
Great!

Weakness:
Rushing, I am improving on where to throw smokes and Flashes. And I have also noted If I am the second man in behind a good rusher I help the team alot more.
Flashing is key to be a good/great player, good smokes/flashes help more than most understand.  Learn good bank shots, learn how to throw and turn away so that you don't get flashed but they are.

Budgeting my $$. If we are winning this isn't a problem, but if we lose the first few rounds sometimes idk when to buy or save
If you lose first round, normally wait 2 more before buying, (round 3) rush with team, try to get a gun/pick and rotate to another spot, get the enemy out of position.

When to walk and when to run, Sometimes i'm not sure which one I should be doing.
This one is tricky, normally walk if you are in good position, and your enemy doesn't know where you are, if they know you or a teammate is around no sense in walking, don't walk passed doors, or areas where you can get shot easily , imo I walk when there is absolutely no way I can be killed if that makes sense..  Like walking b tunnels, if someone is watching your back you should be safe to walk.  But don't cross double doors mid walking.. (easy pick)

Good luck and hope I helped even a little.

thanks for the advice, it has certainly helped.

i find myself carrying teams and play calling regularly, as well as coaching people through tough situations.

oh and a question about the tec,9 on a save or as a baackup if im sniping, I find myself being able to head shot easily with it, which is fucking sweet because its a 1 shot kill to head armor too. and this allows me to get some 2-3 kill rounds with it

agree or disagree with my logic? and as for the CT side, if I buy a different pistol it is 100% always the p250.

on dust 2 from ct side, I will get some insane B site defending When i get a p250 and a grenade, I ding 4 of them for 25+ with the nade and get 2-4 kills with the p250

I haven't read the entire thread, but one huge piece of advice that tends to help players sub-global elite (I'm one rank below, so take my advice with a grain of salt) is to constantly have crosshairs at head level.

deathmatch is good.. for training aim, shooting your gun, reflexes, positioning etc., you can't be the guy that fails to shoot someone in the back ;) and preferrably in the front or when aiming on the pixel next to a corner (although pixel aiming is more about practice in 2v2, 3v3, 5v5 or pub)
