boarderlands is a pretty cool game imo. i have it on 360.
if u dont know its made by the same 2 guys that were the brianchild of diablo 2. boarderlands uses the same kind of revolutionary randomization AI that controlled the drops of items in diablo 2. although there are pretty much only guns in boarderlands, they have sheilds and class mods and nad mods but thats it for items. the randomization of the guns is the main point of the game. each class of weapons has parts like the barrel, body, grip and so on, there are diff variations of these parts all with diff attributes and also made out of diff materials which create the base attribute of the guns like accuracy and dmg ect. the randomization AI randomly selects from all the diff parts/ materials to create guns, o there are also several diff manufactures of guns which also adds another variant of attributes. if i recall upon launch not including DLC there were 750,000,000+ diff possible guns that could spawn in the game. it uses quake technology so the gun play is top notch imo.
its also very similar to D2 in other ways, its an RPG and u have a skill tree similar to the one in D2 as well as weapon proficiencies for each class of weapons that increase dmg accuracy and such the more u use a particular class of weapon. the story game play is similar to D2 as well, it is somewhat linear not a big open world like fallout or oblivion, but still pretty open. u fight boss's like in D2 some can drop cool things.
as for re playability im on my 3rd char now and played through the game atleast 15-20 times, kinda like D2 in the way that the game itself is kinda boarding but like D2 its the addiction of finding better items that keeps u going. their are also online arenas where u can PVP.

who cares about the ending, its just some stupid story they have to make, the point of the game is the guns and the randomization AI.

why, i dont see this being specific to 360 or pc games in this forum. it says RPG games general. borderlands is an RPG/FPS similar to fallout and is available on all pltaforms.
