Alright. So...I've been hearing my entire SC2 life that if I used hotkeys, or build orders. I'd probably a much better player.

Well, there's your problem. Not having a build order in masters will keep you from improving, especially in high masters, because you're going up against players with good builds who know what they're doing, and eventually the surprise/randomness factor will stop working. If you like where you're at, keep doing what you're doing. If not, it's time to start trying to learn/use builds.

I've gotten comments like this:

Dear god, if you got up to r10 master without build orders or hotkeys you could be amazing with them.

For absolutely ages, here on JSP, reddit everywhere.

Where do I find build orders? Basic build order openers, or what to look & scout for?

How do I set-up the camera locks that Pro's do? (They look at their Natural and set-up some sort of Hotkey that allows them to go check their natural.) I imagine it has to be

F1 = Main Base
F2 = 2nd Base
F3 = 3rd Base.

Etc, right?

And I guess I'll have to manually teachmyself regular hotkeys.

What are regular hotkeys that everyone uses?

All bases on 5

Main army on 1, Casters on 2?

Being random is a lot better than copying a build. You win so much more because people have no idea how to react.

What you just said is like saying "being a retard is good because people dont expect you to be a retard"

I mean, copying builds as far as the opening beginnings of them. That way I have the best economy/position to react to something with. I don't need a build order past the first 4 minutes kind of thing?

Like, when to Star a Nexus after a stargate vs Zerg.

What do I look for? If I see Hydra's, swap to Collosi. If I see a spire, counter the Mutalisk flock and etc?

you'll need to go into your hotkeys and move some stuff around

like move the camera positions from f5+ to f1 f2 f3 f4 etc

you need to set the camera position itself and the hotkey "method" for setting the camera positions (it makes sense when you look at the hotkeys)

have your nexus on something like 6 with 1-4 for your army/warp prism/whatever and put your robo/stargate on 5 or something

for build orders just watch miniguns stream (or Grubby) and copy him

the "standard" way of playing is pretty easy to figure out but why it is the way it is might be hard to understand until you play it a bit and try to deviate

that being said, you can venture out and do your own things (that's fine), but knowing why it works is why you would to learn how to play standard

That's if you are under the assumption that non standard play = retarded. If you believe such assumptions you are in fact the retarded one.

being random is great if you understand how the game progresses and can transition into a normal game when appropriate and dibbun can't do that yet

apparently you dont know what random means and why doing random things (instead of scouting and countering), is retarded in an rts

So playing completely standard and having the other player be able to cut all corners (in your words "random") to be able to gain such a huge advantage is a good way to play? kk

Pls stop assuming all players play completely standard 100% of the time.
