also depends on what class you play, if you have no reliable stationary CC (like trap or sheep) and/or if you are healer, you won't be able to get to the last boss and kill him in time (I think he has ~5 mil. hp), I do this easily on my hunter (because fd+traps are just gosu) and you get more gold if you just loot the big chests but havn't noticed big difference in charms gain, so if you think you can't pull it off, don't waste time trying and just stick to the first room
interesting. as a warrior (fury) i dont have any real cc. but i can do pretty insane burst if i pop all cds at once and just unload on a boss.
from what i've read though, killing the boss is only good for the achievement. it looks like most people just run a part of it for gold/charms/whatever.
