I played rift when it first came out. Most amazing game I've ever played, but it lost a lot of popularity over it's time.

Honestly don't remember why I quit playing but as it stands now I would pick wow and just try it out. Honestly it's got a lot of everything in it and you should find enjoyment at least worth your money.

Rift was fun for a little, but WoW is better in the long run, it's a good game, been playing it for 4 years now

"Blizzard expects to have less subscribers at the end of the year than they do today.

Oh yeah they are right. Wildstarr ll drain so much WoW players. Way more than GW2 + NW combined

I guess WoW ll loose another 2M By the start of 2014, just because of Wildstar.

New Xbox and Ps4 ll also drain tad lot. So wouldnt be surprise if WoW have 4M Sub in 2014.

I def lost my faith in blizz as they ruined D3 (Totally) and CATA-MOP was terrible. A new xpac with imba content is requiered for WoW to survive in 2014.

Going to sell my wow acc before the end of the year to pay a next gen console lol.

Sell now guys.

Wow was fun, heil to Wow"

most of the decline is from Asia (china specifically), so why should we (mostly EU+NA here) really care
it's known that Asians like more grindy style games, and with Age of Wushu out, which is very grindy and ton of other MMOs that come out there on daily basis, decline is to be expected

yeah just like guild wars 2 was draining more wow players than ever before
and swtor before that
and rift before that

every upcoming half-decent mmo is said to be the ZOMGWTF wow killer, but fact of the matter is, wow players hardly quit for another game; if they quit, it's because they don't find wow fun, not because the new shit is expected to be oh so much better

and just lol @ the xbox and ps4 arguments, who the fuck would quit wow to play cod with 11 year old kids?
the consoles have entirely different genres as well, how are they considered a competition to mmorpgs?

I really should learn not to even look at mmo-champion forums, the stupidity is just overwhelming
