Important information regarding WOW leveling


Blizzard has added a feature that prevents multiple IP address account login

This is the error message

"Our login system has detected a change in your access pattern. In order to protect your account we require you to verify your identity via a message sent to your e-mail address associated with this account."

DO NOT PANIC!


Why does this happen?

It happens because your account has logged on to multiple IP address (occasionally 2-4 different IP address)

What do you do?

Easy, log on to your main account, click ok to send link to your email address and reset your password.

FOR LEVELING JOB PURPOSES

The leveler might require you to keep in touch with them during the first login due to this error and requires you to reset your pass.

Note : Please always use a mediator for leveling jobs. Check the active mediators for WOW Mediators click

If the IP is not from your country your account is frozen until you actually call them/e-mail them.

So anyone who uses re-routing of any type (proxys), or simply has switched the login portal to US/EU for a job can no longer do that.

They've had this feature for awhile, and your account would be frozen if there was suspicion. You can have multiple IPs on your account only if they are immediate family members. Just call blizzard (if this happens) and tell them your brother plays or some shit.

so u really wont get banned if u just validate your email?

I guess this is mainly their way of preventing hackers to log on ur account -- you should be ok to call them and explain why you were on a different IP address ... because it would be a whole lot of mess for example: if they ban everyone who even goes to a LAN place to play with friends or what not right ?

Just to clarify this for people who are wondering:

Your account is only locked until you validate it with email.
This can happen 2-3 times but after that the new location will be connected to the account and you should no longer need to continue validating. You will NOT get banned for having someone do a level or farming job for you.

I have done around 10 jobs so far and 3 have had to validate, including a job for someone in Spain and I am located in PA. None of the accounts were banned and I was able to access all of them with a simple password change as a response to the email.


To get around the US/EU barrier simply install VMWare Player on your computer and make a virtual machine to run the install version of the other region.

I informed the mod team of this awhile ago, was surprised there wasn't anything stickied about it.

Anyway, if the account gets temp locked. Wait an hour after resetting the password and have the leveler try to access the account again. Usually always works.

Its done this forever
My freinds have gotten there own accs locked by comin over and loggin while im in the shower or something haha
