Have you just got a computer with vista or just installed Vista your self and found out Diablo's mouse wheel will not work for you. Well you came to the right place follow these step carefully and you will be scrolling in no time

Step 1

Right click your Diablo II short cut go to properties a window will pop up that looks like this ->

Step 2

In the properties window click on the compatibility tab to the left of shortcut. Then Where it says run this in compatibility mode for select windows XP (service pack 2) also make sure there is a check in the box for run this in compatibility mode for. After you done this click apply an close the window.

Step 3

Log into Diablo select any character and make a game or join a random one click esc key an go to option-> Configure controls then scroll down to where it says select previous skill click on it and scroll upward until it says (mouse wheel up).

Then do the same thing for select next skills but don't scroll up scroll downward this time until it says (Mouse wheel down)
