Of course not everyone quitting would go for D3, but a portion of them would. Just like if they did a banwave, I'm sure a lot of people would go to D3 instead of rebuying D2 cdkeys.

Sure. But keep in mind that portion of people that are coming back to D2, cause disappointed by D3.
Also I'm trying to figure out how is going to work.

But I also believe that, nowadays, most of the acc tha would be closed, are from shops. People that used hacks/bots didn't really care about D2, so better if they stay out.
