some people would like to believe the servers that have unfair advantages in wvw are the best ones
but no server is really better than the other

if youre aiming to get into competitive spvp, you should consider making anvil rock your home server - this won't limit you from playing with anyone on any other servers in your region, but its where a great deal of serious spvpers have set up so it'll be easier to put together teams and such from there

serious pvp on guild wars 2? is that like a joke or something
