yes but their target audience is very small. you have to realize people on jsp/hardcore gamers make up a very small percent of the gaming community. People who like sparkle ponies/being able to faceroll content/their hand held through everything are 95% of the people that play games now days, kinda sucks.

The game is fairly casual, with exception of few areas of the total content.
For instance, all of the personal story will be doable by the facerollers.
PvP offers WvWvW which is like casual kingdom.

Although people are offset by the late start of the MMO scene.

Perhaps if they built up an audience 5 years earlier it could hit the 10m+ easy.
Now, probably around 4-5 mil the first few weeks is my guess.

So you couldn't call these major changes?

Adding 2 or 3 new pvp maps.
Adding the other 2 races
Optimizing the game to use the CPU
Reworking how skills/traits work completely
A whole assortment of bugs gamebreaking and exploiting?

And revamping majority of the skills (some more significant than others).

Beta = beta

I am aware of the beta and what it represents. And from what I have seen from 6 months of progress. I stand by my statement of not logging on.

Uhm, the AoC community was complaining about the loot drops for the difficulty of the dungeon - and I wouldn't classify them as casuals.

In fact I'd argue that the hardcore players are complaining more-so than casuals.

Casuals want the game they don't exactly care what kind of state it is in, while the more hardcore players want balance and a working game, hardcore players always have a higher expectation of a game than casuals.

Absolutely nothing in the game struck me as being hardcore, literally everything seemed like it was hand crafted for casual players, what game did you play? Not saying its a bad thing, but it literally says when you're logging in or signing up or some shit "the game is completely doable as a single player game". On top of that, the pvp seemed just like a aoe fest, nothing more, nothing less. I can't see that being entirely competitive.

5v5 will start to pick up once teams are crafted and ladders are implemented.

And it's not a surprise that you see certain servers winning all the matches. And that's not because they are the most active.

Over the weekend, it was whichever server was red that day had a monstrous lead on the other 2. That is for my group atleast for some reason.
