If the trend had continued and the game was still growing - He would have stated so. He would not have limited his statement to "6 weeks".

A free weekend to play only proves that they are trying to gather more players.

No company (At least not ANet/NCSoft) will ever say: "Yeah man we fucked up" or "You're right, the playerbase is shrinking". They just never will admit it.

I'm not going to sit here and tell you your game sucks, you already know how I feel about it. But I won't sit idle while you deny that the playerbase is shrinking. It is shrinking because the game isn't that great.

it's the best mmo with a playerbase and even if the playerbase was shrinking after those said 6 weeks it isn't damn near enough to be a reason for the free trial weekend

I don't mind people wasting their time on a video game. I don't mind that you waste yours on a shitty one. You can keep telling yourself that it is a good game. It is sad you have to lower your standards only because there is nothing better out there currently. But I refuse to sit here and let people like you dance around with the fantasy that this is a "gg awesome fucking game" and throw it in people's faces when you know damn well it isn't.

I agree though that every server seems to usually be at Very High now, however.
